Manhunt Ended: Bethel Road and Hardesty Road

A manhunt is underway in the area of Bethel Road and Hardesty Road in Bethel Acres which was prompted after a citizen called in a suspicious person in the 17000 Block of Bethel Road.

The suspicious person is described as a white male, black hair, black jacket and was reported walking North on Bethel Road.  A vehicle was also reported parked at another residence and the suspicious person reportedly asked to take gasoline out of a vehicle.

Deputies and other law enforcement are in the area.  Please report any suspicious activity by calling 911 or (405) 273-1727.

Update: 4/8/18 at 10:19am One suspect has been taken into custody but another suspect is still at large clothing description remains the same.

Update: 4/8/18 12:44pm The vehicle the suspicious person(s) were in possession of was stolen out of Seminole County, one suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property and the other has been identified a warrant will be sought for his arrest.

Good job to the alert citizens who reported these suspicious person(s).

Update: 4/8/18 5:15pm. Our office now has both suspects in custody!

Updated: Manhunt has come to an end David Johnson is in custody

Manhunt has come to an end David Johnson is in custody as of 3/8/18 4:48pm.

Deputies have responded to the area of Hardesty Road and Patterson Road in Bethel to a vehicle being reported on a citizens property. A male suspect wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a blue ball cap was seen near the vehicle and he has been identified as David Johnson.

The vehicle has been confirmed stolen out of Seminole County and stems from a manhunt from that county on 3/6/2018.

Deputies will remain in the area and are being assisted by several local law enforcement agencies. We ask that residents be mindful of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity by calling 911 or (405) 273-1727.

Update:Manhunt Ended Hwy 9 and Stevens Road

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 9 and Stevens Road in Tecumseh after a citizen observed a vehicle speeding away from a neighbors residence.  The citizen reported that a male and female exited the vehicle running North bound on Stevens Road.

Additional information was obtained after one suspect was taken into custody that there were possibly three suspects total.  Undersheriff Travis Palmer stated it is unclear at this time if there are just two suspects or possibly a third.  Deputies are in the area patrolling within a one mile radius of Hwy 9 and Stevens Road in all directions.

Citizens should main aware of your surroundings and report anything suspicious by call 911 or (405) 273-1727.

Manhunt has now ended. (12/29/2017 7:55pm)

Undersheriff Travis Palmer confirmed that two suspects were taken into custody this evening. The suspects are identified as Chaz Moody and Mark West..

The manhunt from Wednesday is now back on as deputies observe the suspects in the same area. Deputies are currently on scene and if you observe anything remotely suspicious please call 911.

Last description we had of the two white males one wearing a dark colored jacket and the other was wearing a camouflage jacket. One of the suspects is missing a shoe.

Update: Manhunt
The suspects are contained to the area between Hwy 102 and Belcher Road and Hwy 102 and Lake Road. If you see anything suspicious please call 911!

Initial information: Manhunt: After stolen vehicle discovered.

Two male subjects last seen walking southeast of Independence and Hwy 102. One of the white males was wearing a black coat and the other a white long sleeve t-shirt. One of the males was described as having a shaggy beard. The vehicle they were in possession of was stolen out of the City of Shawnee. Deputies have been and will continue to be in the area. If you see anything suspicious please call 911.

Manhunt: Near Mabel Bassett Prison

A concerned citizen notified law enforcement of suspicious activity near Mabel Bassett Prison located at 29501 Kickapoo Rd, McLoud, OK 74851 after observing a 4 door gold passenger vehicle drop someone off then sped away from the area.

Law enforcement arrived on scene and observed three subjects dressed in all black running away from the prison to the Northwest. The subjects were also seen in possession of a black bag they were possibly attempting to toss it over the fence and at this time law enforcement have the area saturated in attempts to locate them.

In Custody: Manhunt Brangus Rd and Westech Rd

Deputies responded to the area of Brangus Road and Westech Road in Shawnee after a concerned citizen observed a vehicle stuck and a white male attempted to flag the citizen down. The citizen notified our office of the situation.

Once on scene deputies discovered the vehicle in question to be high centered on the river and the occupant ran North bound along the river. The vehicle is reported stolen out of Oklahoma City.

North Rock Creek School officials have been notified of the situation.

Deputies are currently working the scene in attempts to locate the suspect.

Citizens are asked to remain away from the immediate area and report anything they feel is suspicious.

 

Update: As of 12/15/2017 at approximately 2:00 p.m. suspect Christopher Lee Goodman was taken into custody.

In Custody: Johnny Brown

Burglary suspect Johnny Brown was taken into custody in Asher about an hour ago after Asher Police Department made contact with him walking. Deputies have taken him into custody where he was then interviewed concerning the reported incident. He will be booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center.

Orginal story November 16th 2017

Deputies are in the area south of Hwy 39 on Leo Road in Asher after burglary suspect flees vehicle. The home owner from the burglary has identified Johnny S Brown as the suspect after his name was obtained by deputies from the suspect vehicle registration. Please see attached images.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 if anything suspicious is spotted in the area.

Public Assistance Needed Concerning Monday’s Pursuit

The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in locating witnesses or motorist who were affected by the pursuit on Monday July 24th, 2017 at approximately 1:30 PM. During the event deputies witnessed the suspect driving erratic in excess of 100 mph and in the oncoming lane of traffic running citizens vehicles off of the roadway. The pursuit began in Tecumseh and traveled southbound along numerous roads ending just south of Asher.  When the suspects drove through Asher they ran the stop sign at HWY 39, traveling southbound in the north bound lane on Hwy 177, at a high rate of speed not slowing down and nearly hit a passenger car.  If you know of someone or you were one of those motorist / witness to the pursuit, especially the driver in the intersection who was almost hit in Asher,  please contact Captain Chad Pope at 405-275-2526.

Stolen 24 ft enclosed trailer taken from the address 38894 Lake Rd Shawnee Ok. Stolen between 7pm 3/9/2017 and 7am 3/10/2017. Unknown suspect at this time. Has a Texas tag on the left rear of the trailer.
