RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR WESTERN NORTH TEXAS… AND MUCH OF SOUTHERN

AND PARTS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA…
The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Red Flag

Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT

this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. 
* WING… South to southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts over 45

mph.
* HUMIDITY…15 to 20 percent
* TEMPERATURE…75 to 83 degrees
* IMPACTS…any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor 

burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions

are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of

strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can

contribute to extreme fire behavior.

* Until 1030 PM CST
* At 939 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line 

extending from 5 miles north of Stroud to near Newalla, moving 

east-northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. 
SOURCE…Radar indicated. 
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 

to roofs, siding, and trees. 
* Locations impacted include…

Shawnee, Chandler, McLoud, Stroud, Prague, Meeker, Davenport,

Johnson, Sparks, Kendrick, Dale, Bethel Acres, Aydelotte and

Centerview.
This includes the following highways…

Interstate 40 between mile markers 174 and 194.

Interstate 44 between mile markers 168 and 182.

of Nocona, moving east at 25 mph.
