Arrested: Break-in at A&Z Grocery & Feed Wanette, Oklahoma

Update 2/25/2021: All three suspects identified and in custody as a result of great work put forward by Deputy Jason Seikel and other members of the office. Zachary Mahan ($10K Bond) along with Gabriel Futicha ($15K Bond) and Roger Cook ($15K Bond) arrested and booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on several felony counts.

On 2/26/21 deputies obtained information that Zachary Mahan during the initial arrest identified himself as Lacy Finley which was false information and he is now being charged with additional charges. The case is ongoing.

Original Story

Our office is requesting assistance from our citizens to identify those responsible for breaking into the A&Z Grocery & Feed store located in Wanette, Oklahoma just after 4 am this morning.

Video from the store shows two individuals breaking into the store and attaching a chain and strap to the ATM machine to drag it out of the building. There obliviously were three or more people involved in the break-in. The Chevy pickup used in the crime displayed a Choctaw Nation plate CH(?) 5961 and all variations of the tag have been checked and do not return to this type of vehicle. Efforts to track down the Choctaw Nation plate are ongoing.

The ATM machine was recovered at 192nd and York inside Cleveland County today by the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects traveled west as seen in store video.

The pickup is believed to be a newer model Chevy 4-door, maroon or red in color body, black spoke rims (possibly XD), a black foldable bed cover.
