Investigation leads to search warrant and arrest

  • Post category:Arrests

Last week Investigator Marcus May began working a stolen property case, which lead him to obtaining a search warrant for a residence in the 17000 Block of Gaddy Road.

During the course of the search warrant over 120 grams of Methamphetamine was recovered, numerous items of stolen property recovered (estimated amount 30,000), a firearm was taken out of a convicted felons hands, and proceeds from selling methamphetamine seized. Two other occupants in the residence were arrested on Felony warrants from another County. This was a two day operation due to the amount property located at the residence.

Due to the hard work from Investigator May, Deputies, and other agencies involved property was returned to its rightful owners and a drug dealer was put in jail.

It will always be a priority for the Sheriffs Office to recover stolen property and shut down homes that are selling illegal narcotics in our County. This case is still under investigation.

The Sheriffs Office was assisted by Shawnee Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, Citizen Potawatomi Nation Police, and Sac and Fox Nation Police.
