Altercation leads to throat slashing

A Pottawatomie County man was arrested on assault complaints over the weekend after another man’s throat was slashed during an altercation. Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Capt. Travis Palmer said deputies responded to the rural Prague residence late Friday night. They found David James Oldham, 50, rural Prague, suffering from a severe laceration to this throat.

Pottawatomie County sheriff’s deputies are investigating 57 cases of mailbox vandalism or theft that occurred over the weekend in the Macomb area.Several area residents made reports to deputies and a complete list also was given to the sheriff’s office by the Macomb postmaster.

2009 Shop with a Cop!

It doesn’t take 9-year-old Preston Gunter long to shop. Charges filed in high-speed pursuit

A Shawnee man, who allegedly led authorities on a high-speed pursuit through Pottawatomie and Oklahoma counties Oct. 26, has been formally charged with two felonies and eight misdemeanor counts. Christopher Jay Harrell, 22, is charged in Pottawatomie County District Court.
